With the days ticking ever closer to Washington's September 5th clash with LSU, the more Steve Sarkisian is thinking about the game. More specifically, how the mechanics of the game are going to go. With that in mind, as well as the thought that he wants his team as fresh as possible going into their battle with the Bayou Bengals, it appears that full pads are done for fall camp.

Monday Practice report

SEATTLE - As Trick Daddy's 'Take it to the House' was winding down, the music fading from the speakers alongside the field at Husky Stadium, you could hear the DJ's marching orders from Steve Sarkisian: "Play me a good song!" Slowly, AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck' come busting through the woofers and tweeters as the Huskies marched through the rest of their team period.

SEATTLE - It seems almost cliche to say during spring football, but every time an injured player comes back to participate, another one goes down. Such was the case Wednesday, as 'Turnover Wednesday' turned into 'Walking Wounded Wednesday'.

Spring Practices Promise to be Competitive

A group entirely made up of new coaches should make this the most competitive spring practice in years at Washington. There are no prejudices carried over, so it means renewed competition at just about every position on the team. With the possible exception of about four or five spots, every spot should be pretty much up for grabs.

Mid-way progress report - Offensive Skill

When Jake Locker's hamstring gave way last week, Husky fans from Seattle to Suquamish have been anxiously wondering what that will mean for the Huskies when they take the field August 30th in Eugene. According to Head Coach Tyrone Willingham, Locker is listed as 'day-to-day', although he hasn't put on pads since he was injured over a week ago.
