The Chihuahuas just keep winning. The Triple-A club won their sixth straight and now sit just a half-game out of first. In San Antonio, the Missions wasted another brilliant outing from Michael Kelly in a loss. The Storm and the TinCaps both collected home wins to round out the Thursday schedule.

The El Paso Chihuahuas busted out with a big night offensively at home, while the Storm rode in outstanding pitching performance to a shutout win. Meanwhile, the Fort Wayne bats continued to flourish in a victory Monday, while the Missions lost both ends of a doubleheader in Tulsa.

El Paso was rained out for the second time. Coincidentally both times occurred on nights when Carlos Pimentel was due to start. San Antonio and Lake Elsinore both had great pitching in close wins. Fort Wayne also got great pitching from Walker Lockett, but their offense never showed up.

After a long off-season, the minor league season is finally underway! All of the Padres’ full-season squads made their 2016 debut on Thursday night. El Paso went down on the road while San Antonio lost their home opener. The Storm came out swinging and won in Rancho while the TinCaps lost a heartbreaker in the bitter cold.
