A's Deal Magnuson To Toronto

The Oakland A's announced on Friday that they had traded right-handed reliever Trystan Magnuson back to the Toronto Blue Jays for cash considerations. The A's also announced the signings of free agents Edgar Gonzalez and Wes Timmons, who signed minor league deals.

Magnuson Gets Call From Oakland

With a 2.89 ERA, the Oakland A's bullpen is currently the second-best in the American League, but that didn't prevent the A's from tinkering with that bullpen on Wednesday. After carrying four lefties in the bullpen for much of the season, the A's sent one back to Sacramento and brought up a right-handed reliever in his place.

That pitching was on display on Monday, as the River Cats blanked the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 9-0, for their third shutout of an eight-game homestand.
