Northwest re-rankings are out

SEATTLE - The re-rankings for the Northwest are out! And there wasn't too much movement at the top. U.S. Army All-American Kavario Middleton - from Lakes High School in Lakewood, Wash. - is still's number-one player in the region.

Interest building in Idaho's Player of Year

THE STATE OF IDAHO produced 10 Division I-A football signees in the most recent recruiting crop, but it was a junior who was the Gem State's Class 5A player of the year. The defensive end from Coeur d'Alene now holds three college scholarship offers himself and eyes camps at WSU or Oregon to help his cause. He projects as a linebacker, so needs reps at that position to make believers in the Pac.

Northwest Hot 100 unveiled

You have to start somewhere, so here it is - the 2008 Northwest Hot 100. Expect the list to change as we get closer to Signing Day in February, but don't expect any deviations at the top. When it came to picking the top player in the region, it was a no-brainer. It's Kavario Middleton, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound defensive end/tight end prospect from Lakes High School in Lakewood, Wash.

RECRUITING '08: Cougs looking at Idaho gem

THE STATE OF IDAHO isn't known as a recruiting hotbed but 10 players signed with D-IA schools this past Signing Day, including future Cougar Marshal Pirtz. This year, a Gem State prospect looks to become one of the most decorated footballers in Idaho history. Washington State this past week received film on the player who during his junior campaign was named the state's 5A Player of the Year.
