Rain in the Oxford area forced the Rebels inside Wednesday for their afternoon practice. If memory serves us correctly, this was only the second full practice the Rebels have had inside in fall camp. They have been blessed with near perfect weather throughout camp, sans Wednesday.

After Monday's practice, Rebel Coach Hugh Freeze said he didn't think his squad finished very well. After Tuesday's practice, he said it was a better ending.
The Rebs' first scrimmage this morning was a physical affair where the number one defense and number two offense gained the edge. The following is a highlight/play-by-play of the two-hour workout and some side "notes."
For the past few weeks, it could be argued that a strength of the Ole Miss football team are the wideouts coached by Grant Heard. There is no argument the Mississippi State secondary is one of its strong points. Strength against strength.
