THE COUGAR BATS were busy on Saturday. Patrick Claussen and Derek Jones raked out four hits apiece and Washington State put a crooked number up on the scoreboard, dispatching the Huskies 11-6 at Bailey-Brayton Field for their second straight win over the Dawgs.

The Cougars return the top three starting pitchers, the two leading hitters, the winningest pitcher and the top power hitter off a 37-22 team that played in an NCAA regional title game and was ranked 24th in the final Baseball America poll.
