Jackson wows the crowd in Raleigh at GSK

At the legendary Rucker Park in New York, seven "oohs" from the crowd in one game gains you legendary status and a nickname, and 2009 Gamecock commit Lakeem Jackson was trying to earn his name Monday in the semifinals of the GSK Holiday Invitational at Broughton High in Raleigh. "It gets me and the team pumped up," Jackson said of the crowd's reaction to his exciting plays.

Gamecock Targets Featured in GSK Tourney

South Carolina recruited 2009 swingman Garrius Adams hard, but he eventually chose Miami. Gamecock commit Lakeem Jackson went head-to-head with Adams in the first round of the 37th annual Glaxo Welcome Holiday Invitational in Raleigh, and was there to catch the showdown. The tourney also featured other top prospects being recruited by the Gamecocks.
