New Review: Kelowna Rockets

Regional Correspondent Ryan Rohde takes a trip north of the border to take in a game at Prospera Place, home of the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. He finds an arena with great fans and great views of the action on the ice.

Prospera Place, home of the Western Hockey League?s Kelowna Rockets, is a 6,286-capacity arena and was exclusively built for the Rockets. Prospera Place opened in 1999 as Skyreach Place and was renamed in 2003.

The Kelowna Rockets were WHL Champions in 2003, 2005, 2009, and 2015. They hoisted the Memorial Cup, the top prize in all Canadian Junior Hockey, in 2004. Banners hang from the rafters of Prospera Place noting all the B.C. Division Championships, WHL Championships, and of course the 2004 Memorial Cup Banner.
