Butler Community College has been home to one of the best junior college programs in the country for several years. It is no different this year for Coach Troy Morrell's squad. Several prospects with FBS aspirations are again on the roster as they continue to reload.
Davon Durant. He's one of the top linebacker prospects at the junior college level in the country. South Carolina is the team to beat for his services. He brings an elite level of athleticism to the position.
Tyler Howell. His size is that of a prototypical left offensive tackle. At 6-foot-8 and 305 pounds, I expect him to continue to rack up offers. Missouri, Kentucky, and Arkansas have already done so.
Ulric Jones. He's a top defensive line prospect that has narrowed down his choices to USC, Cal, and Oregon. He has tentative plans to visit both USC and Cal at the end of the month.
Will Smith. The interior offensive line prospect has already made his college decision. I think he'll be a guard at the next level, and he'll be manning that position for the Jayhawks, as Kansas has already secured his verbal pledge.
Kameron Miles. The former Texas A&M safety is determined to prove his high-end FBS value once again this Fall. Once he displays the same talents that landed him in College Station once before, he'll be a prized recruit at the junior college level.
Chris Carson. Iowa State and Utah State are the top schools in play for the Butler running back. This fall could see him haul in additional offers as he proves he has fully recovered from an ACL injury.
Phil Williamson. He's another linebacker that could blow up once he sets foot on the gridiron this fall. He's a bounce-back from North Carolina that will have his skills on full display this season to earn his way back to the FBS level.
