Former Viral Recruit and Michigan RB Makes U.S. Bobsled Team

With a highlight video that garnered millions of views in 2007, former Michigan running back Sam McGuffie has a new sport and will be representing the Unites States.

Back in 2007,  running back Sam McGuffie had his highlight video go viral across the internet. Mcguffie had a unique way of breaking tackles, by hurdling the defender.

As Scout's No. 63 ranked prospect, he ended up attracting the attention of the Nation's top programs. Committing and signing to Michigan in 2008, McGuffie transfered to Rice after his freshman season.  

After graduating from Rice, McGuffie signed with multiple NFL practice squads including the Raiders and the Patriots. After the NFL, he did not give up on his athletic endeavors with an Audition tape for the television show "American Ninja Warrior".

Sam McGuffie will has now earned a roster spot on the U.S. National Bobsled team and will compete to make the roster for the 2018 Olympics in South Korea.
