Q) I am having trouble logging in to my account. What’s going on?

A) There are a variety of reasons that could prevent you from logging in to your account.

1. Incorrect password
This is the most common cause of login problems. Please make sure that you type in your password exactly as it was created. Passwords are case sensitive (small and capital letters count as different). Make sure that you are using the correct password for this account. If you can not recall your password, click here or on the "Can't remember your password?" link shown on the Login page.

2. Incorrect Email address/Username
The Login page accepts either your email address or your Username (if chosen). Make certain that you type your Email address or Username correctly. Note, be sure to use the Email address which is associated with your account.

3. Cookies disabled
Your browser must be set to allow cookies. If you set your browser to disallow cookies, or if you have cookie-killing software installed, you will not be able to login.


Q) I forgot my password. What should I do?

A) If you do not remember your account password, click here or the "Can't remember your password?" link on the Login page.


Q) Why am I sometimes required to log in again?

A) For your account security, you are periodically required to re-login. If you do not remember your account password, click here or the "Can't remember your password?" link on the Login page.


Q) When I try to login, I get an error message saying the email/password combination is incorrect. What should I do?

A) On the Login page, click the "Can't remember your password?" link. Fill in the Email address and click the "Send Reset Code" button. Follow the instructions.


Q) How do I change the Email address associated with my account?

A) Click the "My Account" link in the top center of any site, click the "My Member Profile" link and update your account info.


Q) How do I change my password?

A) Click the "My Account" link in the top center of any site, click the "My Member Profile" link and update your account info. This is especially useful for those of you who have recently changed your e-mail address or want an easier password to remember.


Q) What if I forgot my Username/Email address associated with the account?

A) Click the "Contact Us" link in the top center of the site. The site publisher can assist you directly.


Q) Why do I need a membership account on Scout.com?

A) There are several reasons why you need a membership account on Scout.com:
    1. So you can use our message board system as a registered user
    2. So you can purchase premium services from your favorite websites on Scout.com, such as premium content and premium message boards.
    3. So you can receive breaking news alerts about information pertaining to your favorite teams and players.


Q) What do I need in order to register?

A) You need a valid Email address. Make sure the address you use is an active account.


Q) Why do you need my Email address?

A) Your address will be used to confirm changes to your account, and to notify you of premium service changes or new service offerings.


Q) What does it cost to register?

A) There is no cost to register. There is only a cost if you sign up for any of our premium services.


Q) OK, I have a membership now what do I do?

A) You can go ahead and use our message boards as a registered user and you can now go ahead and purchase any of our premium services.

Q) How do I change my Username?

Once you have established a Username for your membership account, the Username cannot be changed. If you would like a different Username, you may create a new membership account and select the desired Username for that new account. Every membership account is completely independent. If you purchase premium subscriptions with one account, your other account(s) will not have access to those premium subscriptions unless you purchase subscriptions specifically with the other account.


Q) I am trying to register my Username for the message board but keep getting a message that says my Username is already in use. What can I do?

A) You will need to choose a Username that has not already been chosen. If your preferred Username is already in use, try changing it slightly, for example, by adding a numeral to the end of it.


Q) How do I change my message board preferences?

A) Member profile and customization options are located along the right side of the message board, at:
My Menu > My Profile > Edit Profile

Edit your preferences and then click the "Save" button.
