|Luis Robert's Fantasy Scouting Report|
SCOUT ANALYST JOHN BOLLMAN'S TAKE
Robert has already been givena 6 year, $50 million deal before ever playing a MLB game for the White Sox. Robert slashed .328/.376/.635 with 32 HRs and 36 SBs and proved to be a true 5-tool prospect last season. Robert’s new deal should help him earn an immediate role this season, and his bat offers a significant upgrade of Adam Engel’s. The White Sox OF of Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert, and Nomar Mazara has a ton of upside, and Chicago’s lineup looks like it will be the best that they’ve had in some time.
DRAFT ADVICE AND POSITION RANK
Luis Robert is not projected to be worth a roster spot. His 359.66 projected fantasy points puts him at #76 behind Teoscar Hernandez and ahead of Alex Verdugo. He is projected to average 2.78 fantasy points. His rank based on avg proj (#130) is worse than his rank based on total fantasy points.
LUIS ROBERT WEEK 1 AND 2 FANTASY OUTLOOK
Luis Robert is projected for 7.11 fantasy points in 2 games the rest of the week in week 1 which only ranks him as the #69 projected outfielder and not a fantasy relevant player. This is projected to be a better than average week with more fantasy points per game than he is projected to average per game the rest of the season. He is ranked above Jesse Winker but behind Michael Conforto the rest of the week. Week 2 will not be as good based on projected rank (#79). He is projected for 13.28 fantasy points.
