|Ronny Rodriguez's Fantasy Scouting Report|
As you may have noticed we have transformed Scout into a data and stats driven service geared towards helping invested fans make the right decisions on a daily basis. This is our new Fantasy Scouting Report that we produce for each fantasy relevant player. We treat them like a stock and report their value in season long fantasy, the current fantasy week, and if applicable, on FanDuel and on DraftKings. We establish what is expected of the player based on fantasy ownership %, start %, and DFS Salary and see if our proprietary forecasting model projects a better or worse than expected performance. For complete recaps of the best and worst values for each market (season, weekly, daily), injury reports and team outlooks be sure to check out the new Scout.
DAILY FANTASY PROJECTIONS AND PLAY OR FADE ADVICE
For each platform we calculate a position specific points per dollar and our projection says he is a better value on FanDuel than on DraftKings. He is projected for 8.8 FD points and is worth +$818 more than $2.5K on FD. On DK he is projected for 6.8 points and is worth $4.1K. Below are how he ranks based on projected fantasy points on both DFS platforms. Look for players with more FPs at lower salaries.
These projections power SportsLine's Computer Picks and Fantasy Data. But for contest winning DFS optimal lineups by top experts like Mike McClure visit SportsLine's new Daily Fantasy Hub.
REST OF SEASON OUTLOOK AND POSITION RANK
Expect Ronny Rodriguez to be a reliable fantasy starter the rest of the season. His 66.78 projected fantasy points puts him at #9 behind Marcus Semien and ahead of Paul DeJong. He has averaged 1.88 fantasy points in his past 128 games, which is less than our projected per game average. He is projected to average 2.65 fantasy points. His rank based on avg proj (#31) is worse than his rank based on total fantasy points. Ronny Rodriguez is expected to improve on this season-to-date's #38 fantasy position rank.
WEEK 24 AND 25 FANTASY OUTLOOK
Ronny Rodriguez is projected for 17.52 fantasy points in 7 games which is good enough to be the #12 ranked shortstop and a must start for most owners. This is projected to be a better than average week with more fantasy points per game than he is projected to average per game the rest of the season. He is ranked above Willy Adames but behind Trevor Story. Week 25 will not be as good based on projected rank (#18). He is projected for 15.77 fantasy points.
