|Yoshitomo Tsutsugo's Fantasy Scouting Report|
SCOUT ANALYST JOHN BOLLMAN'S TAKE
Tsutsugo hit over 200 HRs and had a .910 OPS in 10 years in Japan before the Rays signed him this offseason. Tsutsugo is not known to be a great defender, but he can play 3rd, 1st, or in the OF. Tsutsugo had a better career K rate and BB than Ohtani which is a good sign coming into the majors. Tsutsugo reached on his first 4 plate appearances this spring training and could be an improvement over Yandy Diaz in the Ray’s lineup.
DRAFT ADVICE AND POSITION RANK
Yoshitomo Tsutsugo is not projected to be worth a roster spot. His 349.97 projected fantasy points puts him at #83 behind Victor Robles and ahead of Jose Martinez. He is projected to average 2.7 fantasy points. His rank based on avg proj (#151) is worse than his rank based on total fantasy points.
YOSHITOMO TSUTSUGO WEEK 1 AND 2 FANTASY OUTLOOK
Yoshitomo Tsutsugo is projected for 6.77 fantasy points in 2 games the rest of the week in week 1 which only ranks him as the #81 projected outfielder and not a fantasy relevant player. He is ranked above Brandon Nimmo but behind Nick Williams the rest of the week. Week 2 will be better based on projected rank (#75). He is projected for 13.42 fantasy points.
