By simulating the 2019 season (all year round) we can project who the best fantasy defensive linemen are and in our latest projection J.J. Watt is number one, followed by DeForest Buckner and Joey Bosa. Jonathan Allen and Cameron Jordan are not in the very upper tier, but they are solid options as well. Our top rated defensive backs are Jamal Adams and Derwin James. If you use high draft picks at these positions and are looking for quality starting linebackers then consider Telvin Smith or Kiko Alonso. The tables below show projected rankings based on total fantasy points (along with their per game fantasy projection). In cases where a player is a free agent we have their team from the 2018 season.
